A woman's home AI system stages an intervention to persuade her to leave her slowly dying marriage.
To Kai swimming keeps the noise of her broken family and dead end town out. As long as she keeps being the best she can stay above it all. When her best friend Ash dies the noise begins to seep in.
The swimming, the town, and her lost friendship all begin to blur.

ABOUT
Duane Crichton is determined to do it all.
He is a director that consistently applies his sincere and cinematic storytelling approach to commercial, documentary, and scripted projects.
His hour long documentary Black Life: Untold Stories Justice Denied premiered at TIFF 2023 prior to airing on CBC. He is currently in development of his first feature length documentary.
Duane’s short film Swimmer was selected for both The New York Shorts and the Toronto Short Film festival in 2022. His fourth short, Home is currently in post production. Duane’s first dramatic feature film, Saving God, starred Ving Rhames.
He has directed over a hundred commercials for top brands including Home Depot, Rogers, CIBC, and Procter & Gamble, just to name a few. He has received the Shots Young Director Award at Cannes and an Atomic Award for his brand work. In his early career he directed countless music videos leading to winning two Much Music Video awards.
Duane is currently participating in the Warner Bros x Canadian Academy program for episodic directing.
